Through the ecological assessments of the Northern Range of Trinidad and of the Caribbean Sea, we hope to offer decision makers some useful tools for planning for the management of these important resources.

Programme for Environment and Resource Education
IERE is a Cropper Foundation programme in public education for sustainable development launched in 2005. The approach to IERE is an enabling one. The intention is to develop capacity and generate awareness on multiple levels.
IERE uses the knowledge gained from the results of completed and ongoing research and analysis to evolve new ways to support the public.

Capacity Development
The catalytic and demonstrative nature of many of the Foundation’s projects and initiatives require capacity development to be an overarching and critical aspect, especially to get stakeholder buy in and for project continuum. In addition, building capacity is also the main focus for three initiatives of the Foundation:
-   Support to emerging Caribbean writers
-   The Dev Cropper Memorial Award
-   The Cropper Foundation Fellows
