"...in 2006 I decided it was time to further my knowledge of the environment and conservation by starting my degree in Environmental Resource Management with minors in Marine Biology and Zoology. I am currently in my final year and it is great fun and hard work but very interesting. I’m currently challenging my self in the publication field by writing a the green column for a free magazine called ‘dougla’ that a friend and I started which is all about celebrating the mixture and beauty of Trinidad and Tobago. Having the opportunity to work along side, the hard working members of the Copper Foundation this summer (2009), was a great and enlightening one. I was able to strengthen my research and writing skills which I know will surely be useful to me in my future endeavors. But at the end of it all, one of the most key things I learnt was that talk without real action has no merit."

"After graduating with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology, the need for experience in the Environmental Field was prominent. Through The Cropper Foundation, I was able to gain the vital experience needed from an Environmental Organisation. The experience of collaborating on one of their many projects, 'IERE' , has made me sensitive towards my surroundings thereby, influencing my perceptions regarding the needs of the environment. Now as I embark on my Masters degree in Environmental Science and Management, I believe that volunteering at The Cropper Foundation was an essential part of my journey."
